(1)Question: What is max weight capacity?
Answer: Depends on your mounting. The brackets are very well made and it would depend on did you use just sheetrock screws, did you add anchors, molly lags or did you hit studs with your mounting screws. As far at the shelves themselves they would hold a reasonable amount of weight quite easily.

(2)Question: Is the mounting hardware the same size for each size of shelf?
Answer: Yes, any of the brackets work for any of the shelves.

(3)Question: Will the metal brackets rust if shelves are used in bathroom?
