A layer of oil will on the tip of newly bought pen nips , if you don\'t remove it, the pen may hard to use ink. You may use hotwater or cleanser to clean the oil then wrap with soft cloth. Please do not dip too much ink at one, suggest less than 1/2 of the nip. If the new pen scratchs the paper, better slightly sharpen it with grindstone. After use, better clean the pen nip with water, so next time it will be more smooth.
